Whether it be overpopulation, energy consumption, or diminishing biodiversity can the challenges faced concerning climate change, be found by relying on science or technology alone? Perhaps a closer examination of the human heart is in order, and a sense of humility and gratitude about our place on earth necessary, for our survival.
Catherine Higham, a West Australian artist based in Williams, is interested in the connection between human behaviour and environment. A multidisciplinary artist, Higham's award winning works encompass painting, photography, assemblage and sculpture. Catherine exhibits widely and has recently returned from Ireland where she is exhibiting at The Science Gallery for their exhibition Surface Tension - Future of Water.
